Elected by the congregation, this is a group of up to 9 church members that do the official ‘sharing and caring’ for BMPC. Activities include bringing communion to ailing church members that are unable to attend service, coordinating coffee hour each Sunday, organizing celebrations of baptism, and much more. The Session can also delegate activities to the Deacons as stated in the Book of Order.
As with the Session, each member serves a three year term and can serve up to six consecutive years. Every year three people are elected to replace the ‘graduating’ class. For more information about The Board of Deacons contact us at bod@brynmawrchurch.org.
